The curiopt blog is the online version of emails that go out to friends and family - and each email has a theme. Themes can be based on the content of the artwork, style, substrate, artistic genre, and occasionally something completely random. Of course, life often inspires themes with holidays, weather, and seasons influencing what is chosen.
Though this means that items often get saved for years before their theme makes the top of the list, it allows for some interesting comparisons of works of creativity that have similarities or contrasts.
And ultimately, it makes it more fun for me. Posts normally go out once a week, on any day that I can find the time. But if I have lots of great art saved up and feel the need to clear out the files, I've been known to increase this to twice a week. Or if I'm particularly busy, I may post less often.
