The Quay Brothers

Apparently, I'm late to learning about the Quay brother's existence since they've been working in stop-motion animation since the seventies. Twins, Stephen and Timothy seem to have spent much of their career creating shorts with little dialogue, many of which use dolls (or doll parts) to create rather macabre films. (I have to admit that though I appreciate the style of their work, I'm not sure I get the meaning.)

I particularly like these interstitials created for BBC (though not used). LINK
