A really cool project that uses light and shadow to create a mirror made of wood! LINK
Another entry that falls into the "unusual medium" category. LINK

I don't think I'll ever finish checking out this site. Users upload images of pages from their Moleskine sketchbooks. There are some really gifted artists posting their work! LINK
NOTE: At last check, the website for this project was no longer available. The best I could do for a replacement link was a write up over at MOCO Art.
Draw 1 to get 1. Submit your sketch and get one back in return. This is one I received, artist unknown. LINK

A very cool graffiti animation by Blu. LINK
Also interesting to check out his drawings. Strange thoughts. LINK

This guy really likes to sew! He has a variety of embroidery and other projects on his blog. Scroll through his old posts and you'll see lots of creatively embroidered toile. I'm not sure which is stranger, the original drawings in the toile or his new views of them. LINK

I'm not sure why many of these works are created upside down though I suspect it adds an additional level to the viewing experience. As many of them are commissioned works, I wonder whose idea it was to copy famous paintings rather than create original works. I'd be interested to see more originals. Oh, and many of the links on the site aren't working properly though most do. For those that don't, you'll still get the idea from the thumbnails. LINK

An interesting idea, though I did expect the spiders to reject the "help". Check out other web mends on her site. LINK

A very cool look at rhythm. LINK

This site will translate short phrases into nightingale. Very pretty and also a good way to get your cat all riled up. LINK
A pretty amazing bit of recreation. Check out the ensemble of instruments made from a Ford Focus.
Read the article. LINK View the performance. LINK
I have to admit that I'm curious as to how some of the instruments Ken Butler makes would sound. Check out the whole gallery at his site. LINK
