Strahov Libray 40 Gigapixels

Once you learn about this project, you realize how amazing it is. Basically, it is a 360-degree photo of a room in the Strahov Libray. But the level of detail is so immense that it allows you to zoom in to read every book tile on the shelves (and see the art, architecture, and murals of the room itself, close up). LINK

PNC Christmas Price Index 2011

This year's PNC price index interactive does not disappoint.  Check out the cost of Christmas with this fun and clever animated piece that utilizes more of a game aspect this time. Make sure to view on a big screen. LINK

PNC bank's price index for 2010 was absolutely fantastic. Interactive and animated, the index incorporated wonderful paper pop ups. Thankfully, they didn't take it down yet so you can check it out for yourself. LINK

The Color Of ...

Type in a word and "the color of" website shows you what color an online image search creates. Type in your own word and watch the average of images build or view the gallery of words already colored. Though many of them average out to be similar tones of brown, those that break from the norm are not always what you would expect. Not a bad way to imagine new color palettes! LINK

Nimmo Bay 360 Degree Helicopter Tour

Nimmo Bay Helicopter Fishing and Wilderness Adventures offers a flying video of Nimmo Bay in which you can control your view, a full 360 degrees. Rivers, lakes and glaciers all look amazing. For those of you who aren't interested in hearing the "hallelujah" music, don't forget to turn down your speakers before you start.

This one goes out to all of the artists out there who love math. This interactive allows you to modify butterfly curves. Scale, revolutions, rotation and color can all be modified and saved. LINK

String Spin is an interactive that allows the user to draw a line, then spin the "string" to create a 3D rendering. LINK

This interactive allows users to add circles to the field. Those circles then pulsate musically, the size of the circles determining notes - a simple idea with a pleasant end result. LINK

Realizing that Ohio has 88 counties and a piano has 88 keys, Andy Woodruff felt compelled to create this little interactive that assigns notes to each county on the map. LINK

National Geographic is currently hosting an interactive map that displays the most common surnames throughout the U.S. Zoom in to see if your name appears. LINK

It appears that online snowflake generators are just as seasonal as the real weather, melting off of the web shortly after they appear. But this one appears to be frozen here for a while now. Though not as complex as some others, the simple drag-and-drop tool will still create a cool geometric. LINK

Wow! What a cool little interactive. It puts other music generators to shame. Not only can you make music, you can also watch is swim around or even drag you musical creations out of the picture! Make something that sounds good, looks good, or both! Everyone has to at least try this once, and check out some of the creations others have shared. LINK
