Samorost :: Amanita Design

If you haven't seen it before, Samorost is a beautifully illustrated Flash point and click game.

Check out the original, Samorost 1.

And the follow up, Samorost 2. LINK

Aquarium :: Takashi Amano

Takashi Amano creates beautiful aquarium gardens. And they are HUGE! A post with a good selection of images of the aquariums. LINK

A flicker set which shows some set up, giving a sense of scale. LINK

Another site that shows multiple pictures of one aquarium from initial installation through time to it's completed growth. LINK

And the corporate site. LINK

Fungus :: Zeger Reyers

Some of Zeger Reyers experiments with fungus can be found at this site, growing them on the least expected objects. LINK

Forests Forever

Forests Forever was a fabulous Flash site that showed beautiful photos of forests throughout the world. LINK

NOTE: Unfortunately, the site shut down back in March, 2009.

Tree :: Alastair Heseltine

Alastair Heseltine mostly works in basketry, but this stack of wood is awesome. LINK

"Still" Lifes :: Martin Kilmas

Martin Kilmas takes these photos by dropping a ceramic in a dark room. The sound of the object striking the ground triggers the shutter and flash! These are amazing. I love the way the action of the original object is often magnified by the break! LINK

Driftwood :: Heather Jansch

Heather Jansch makes her sculptures from driftwood and though she seems to mainly stay with equine subject matter, my favorites are the deer.

Though the navigation of her site is a little tough, make sure to check out the Other Animals section. Scroll right for more thumbnails across the top. LINK

Hubcaps :: Ptolemy

Made entirely from found hubcaps, these sculptures bear the scrapes and scars of their previous lives and are not filled or overpainted. LINK

Tapeworks :: Mark Khaisman

Most of his work uses packing tape on plexiglass, allowing it to be backlit. Be sure to check out all of the galleries on his site to see different styles! LINK

PET Project :: Miwa Koizumi

Miwa Koisumi recycles plastic bottles to make her underwater creatures. LINK
