Le Creative Sweatshop

Le Creative Sweatshop makes visuals of all sorts but I'm particularly fond of the majority of their work which is paper sculptures. It looks as if they primarily do display work but their website no longer shows images unless you roll over the text so it's hard to tell. (I do wonder whose bright idea is was to represent visual creations in text only but it's still worth checking out.) LINK

The End of Gravity :: Jacob Hashimoto

Another mixed media series utilizing rice paper, I can imagine just staring at these pieces for hours on end and seeing something new in them every time. I particularly like the wall pieces with layers suspended on strings called The End of Gravity shown at the Mary Boone Gallery. See more at the artist's site. LINK

Ferry Staverman has created a whole slew of cardboard sculptures that vary in scale. Utilizing laser cutting, these 3D geometrics are kind of magical. LINK

Amos Lee - Flower

Any time I see a cut-paper animation, I'm astounding by how much work must have gone into creating it. This one seems to be a combination of some different mediums though primarily paper and a mix of stop action and digital animation, though lately, it's getting harder and harder to tell where the line is drawn between the two. Scored Illustrations :: Simon Schubert

Simon Schubert has quite a few works in folded and scored paper, mostly architectural and geometric pieces. They first started making the rounds on the internet a few years ago, but if you haven't seen them in a while, they are worth checking out again. LINK
